Murata rod is one of the oldest well known bamboo rod makers in Japan. He is a mentor of Hironobu Kitao of AWOL, Jun Yokota of Yokota Rod, Ryuno Tujibayasi of Ryuno Rod and many others. He has been teaching whatever he could advise. There are so many Murata Rod fans in Japan. You may have to be at the end of the long line when you order.
The natural free is the very first model of his career. The original action was inspired by Garrison 201. He has kept improving its action for years. He still believes the Natural is the best all round rod in his line-up.
