S-Series
Kakuhiro Nonaka was the first bamboo builder who made bamboo rods from Ha-Chiku that is endemic Japanese bamboo. The fiber constructions at the surface of the cane is less dense than Tonkin. Kakuhiro believes “The denser, the better” is only an old myth about bamboo rod material. None of the graphite maker uses high modulus Carbon of 40 tons for the light rod. Kakuhiro chose Ha-Chiku because he thinks it the best material to make rod lighter and smoother without losing the enough strength to catch the fish.
S76 is the standard model that has straight taper.
